What is true today
Merge PDF, Split PDF, Rotate PDF, JPG to PDF, and PDF to JPG run in your browser. Files you select for those tools are not uploaded to DocLova servers. We do not claim that every current or future tool stays on your device.
What we do not collect from those tools
Browser Merge, Split, Rotate, JPG to PDF, and PDF to JPG do not send file bytes to our API. We do not put document contents, passwords, or OCR text in logs.
Server-side tools (not shipped yet)
Some tools (for example Compress, Office conversion, and OCR) will need a server. When those exist, files will be stored in private object storage and deleted on a short timer. The accepted default is two hours after processing (ADR-0008), and that timer is not implemented until those tools ship.
Accounts, cookies, and analytics
DocLova does not currently require an account for Merge, Split, Rotate, JPG to PDF, or PDF to JPG. We have not integrated a paid analytics or advertising vendor. Do not assume certifications, compliance badges, or that every file is always processed only on your device.
